Compass Career Day Gave ALUMNI a Glimpse of Their Future

Do you remember being in high school and wondering what your future would look like? For juniors and seniors at Compass, that question got a whole lot clearer thanks to Compass Career Day, an event built to connect students with the professionals who are already living it.

Where the Idea Started

Compass Career Day started with Sondra Morris and the Choose901 Alumni Team when they recognized that the alumni needed more than classroom preparation. They needed face time with real professionals, people they could ask real questions and walk away from with a clearer picture of what their future could hold.

So they built it. And what started as an idea to serve seniors quickly expanded to include juniors too, opening the door for even more students to benefit from the experience.

More Than 20 Organizations Showed Up

On the day of the event, more than 20 organizations came out to represent their fields, share their career paths, and answer questions from students eager to learn. From healthcare to business to the trades, the variety gave students a broad look at the possibilities in front of them.

Students engaged directly with professionals, asked questions, and got honest insight into what different careers actually look like , not just the titles, but the day-to-day reality of the work.
