And die-hard fans bringing the energy all day long.
The first-ever Ice Box Classic was the perfect way to tip off the year, and Memphis showed out.
From Crosstown High, Collegiate, Soulsville, PURE Academy, RISE, University School, Compass, and Pleasant View, every team brought grit, heart, and next-level competition to the court. These student-athletes played with passion, representing their schools, their communities, and the future of Memphis.
The Heat Turned Up
From the Soulsville and Crosstown cheerleaders coming together for a unity cheer to the 3-Point Competition that brought the crowd to life as each team’s best shooter stepped up to the line, it was an action-packed day.
Then, as the bracket tightened, one team rose to the top.
All Hail the Champs
PURE Academy powered through game after game to become the 2026 Ice Box Classic Champions. They earned their championship rings and cemented their place in Ice Box history.
And while PURE took the title, standout players from across all teams were recognized with individual awards, honoring their hard work and dedication throughout the season.
