Give901 supports excellent teachers, innovative schools, and empowering mentors in Memphis. Here’s a closer look at the difference your dollars make:
Teach901 Recruitment & Retention
Did you know Memphis needs hundreds of new teachers every year? Through Teach901, we’re hosting teacher job fairs, connecting top-tier educators with local schools, and ensuring they have the support they need to stay. Initiatives like the Teach901 Educator Survey help measure progress, identify needs, and create strategies to retain Memphis's best teachers. It’s a service that we provide to every school in the Memphis area, completely free of charge. And your monthly gift makes this happen!
Graduate Support and Mentorship
Your contributions also fund the Choose901 Alumni Program, which helps students transition from high school to college and beyond. For 10 years post high school, these graduates are contacted twice a month to offer support in whatever ways they need: college persistence coaching, job placements, resume building, scholarship support, professional development, etc. Whether you’ve had strong mentorship in your life or not, most of us know what this level of support means to a young person who’s starting out in life.
Scholarship Opportunities
You’ll also be contributing to more scholarship opportunities for young people who have graduated from our partner high schools in Memphis. Give901 can recruit and manage scholarships for organizations who want to give back but are lacking the bandwidth to manage it. Not only does Give901 create more opportunities, we also use the Choose901 megaphone to reach more applicants in need of financial aid.
