MAM Classic: A Holiday Tradition for Memphis Youth Basketball

The MAM Classic, Memphis’s longest-running youth basketball tournament, is back for its 32nd year! This holiday tradition will bring together over 100 boys and girls recreational, church, and school teams from December 20–22, 2024.

Founded in 1991 by Dr. Larry Edwards, the tournament was created to unite urban and suburban communities through sports. Since 2004, Memphis Athletic Ministries (MAM) has hosted the event, teaching teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship while empowering Memphis youth.

Tournament proceeds directly support MAM’s year-round programming, which focuses on coaching, mentoring, and equipping Memphis youth to become leaders both on and off the court.

Tournament Details

Games will tip off on Friday evening, December 20th, and continue with a full day on Saturday, December 21st. The championship games will be held on Sunday, December 22nd. All games will take place at the Memphis Sports & Events Center (995 Early Maxwell Blvd).
